Stacy received her Bachelor’s in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University, and subsequently, her master’s degree from Quinnipiac University.
Having previously worked as a multimedia reporter for the Record-Journal, and a reporter/columnist/blogger for the News-Times and Connecticut Post, she received awards from the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists. Also contributing articles to Black Enterprise and Outreach magazines, Stacy has most recently been working as a public relations consultant organizations throughout Connecticut and New York.
In May 2016, Stacy created her own personal blog, called Processing Pain, after a nagging feeling inside convinced her to share her most embarrassing and painful moments. Eventually, evolved into her creating a journaling workshop to help others process their own painful memories & experiences.
In April 2017, Stacy released her book, also entitled “Processing Pain,” a compilation of the stories that she had previously shared in her blog and on her social media platform.
